Strategist Maeno Nagayasu (a.k.a. Shōemon, 前野 長康)
Summary:
Real name: Maeno Nagayasu (前野 長康). Shōemon was a childhood friend of Toyotomi Hideyoshi who joined him in his rebellion against the Oda Clan. Though she claims to be a simple farm girl who learned how to wield a spear and a bow, in reality she is a talented general skilled in several areas of leadership and tactics. She is also good friends with Gorōzaemon, and the two have apparently been training together for years. Good natured and open, Shōemon makes friends easily, but keeps few close except her dearest comrades (just Gorōzaemon). She was remarkably easy to persuade to leave Hideyoshi's service, and shows little remorse in doing so, enjoying her new position and popularity among the Hashinara. She has a habit of underrepresenting her own abilities except when pressed, and will rarely volunteer herself for any important assignment. Despite this, when ordered to, she falls into a leadership role easily, and takes good care of the morale and physical well-being of those in her service. Shōemon is an amateur leatherworker in her own time, and the sturdy bowman's glove that she often wears is of her own design. She also likes helping Gorōzaemon with his crafts when they both have time, and the two wear matching necklaces.Unique Abilities:
Senjutsu - 読みが甘い (Yomi ga Amai): Shōemon displays her skill on the battlefield through unassuming, basic, and above all effective tactics. Under her command, even the meanest Ashigaru may be a surprising force to be reckoned with. All allies affected by this tactic gain a +10 bonus to Attack and Defense for each rank (or level for troops) they are below their opponent. In this way, a D-rank general would gain a bonus of +30 to Attack and Defense against an A-rank general.Physical Description
