Othéa Character in Tsuwamono | World Anvil

Othéa

Royal Attaché

Summary

A flighty Dreamer who boasts a hand in the creation of Celephaïs. Othéa, as she goes by in the Dreamlands, is a prolific French writer and poet. Her many works, focused mainly on the idealization of nobility and rule, span both the realm of dreams and Earth. Indeed, her own name, Othéa, is taken from the Goddess of Wisdom in one of her works. This fact may represent a not-inaccurate gauge of her own vanity.   Both in the waking world and in Celephaïs, Othéa has always been attached to royalty. Although a commoner herself, her works have often earned her the wealth of a noble patron, no doubt because they attribute such virtue to power and leadership. In the City of Dreamers, she works closely with Kuranes himself, and sometimes advises him on how best to administrate his domain. Even such a great figure as that could not whet her appetite for proximity to the powerful, however, and Othéa is often on the hunt for a new patron, fresh of variety for her to attach herself to.
