Disgraceful Kiban (a.k.a. きばん)

Summary

A monstrous, ogreish creature with a body like a twisted human covered in brittle sticks and twigs. Kiban is a Namahage, but perhaps not as ugly as the rest of her mysterious race. Whether this is a trait unique to her, or all females possess such relative beauty is hard to say, as the vast majority of them still cover their faces with masks. Kiban does not. Not because of any personal creed or philosophy, but just because she lost hers.
In recent years, she has fallen in with Bakin and his Banki Clan. Being a magnanimous leader and a Namahage with great dreams, he overlooks her immense cultural slight of going maskless, and is an inspiring and competent leader to whit. At least, by Namahage standards.
Kiban herself is a carefree and violent individual who enjoys sleeping and eating as much as she does collecting sticks and fighting the monsters of the Shikkoku wasteland. Her cleaver is her most prized possession, after her mastercrafted twig armor. These fine treasures have earned her many reproachful comments from others of her race, mostly about how she managed to hold onto those but not her mask. It's a truly disgraceful situation, but with the help of the Banki Clan, Kiban has come to terms with it.
