Personal history

Erik was born in a time that the population of the town, Lokreck, had started to boom and the need for new land and building built meant that mass efforts were put towards this extension. As a boy, he was from a family that hadn't really specialized in any field and were manly scrappers out in the trash fields. He became strong growing up but he knew that wasn't what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, jumping around jobs and families he eventually got to the Loom family. They were well known in town and he didn't think that he would be able to learn as the clothing job had been reserved for family members since he could remember. Later learning that that was never the case, people simply didn't want the job of making clothing for the town. Erik became a laughing stock for a while, a big young man that wanted to make clothing instead of tools or the like. But he stuck with it, became as good as the family born members. In this time, Erik had started to fall for the youngest daughter of three. Julie.
Within a couple of years, they were married and he took the Loom name, giving new ideas to the craft from other jobs in the town. Making the clothing they made of tradable quality. Julie would explore more ways to make colours available from flowers. 
They would have a couple of children before becoming a grandfather of Alex, Sam and Molly. He became mayor of Lokreck in his 70s and led for some time before Julie would die of old age.
