Grand Cathedral of Daizall

The Grand Cathedral of Daizall in Tecard is one of the most distinctive landmarks of the great city on the rock. It's towering blue spire reaches high into the sky almost 400 ft, higher even that the highest tower of the great castle, and it can be seen for many miles from the city. Even without its position atop the rock, it is the tallest man-made structure in the Flussland outside of Darstad, taller than all of the Torres of Mustoir or any chimney of the huge factories of Karnath.

Architecture

At ground level, the cathedral is a square cross, with each wing ending in large double doors. There are two aisles dividing three ranks of pews, with space across the four wings for around 1500 worshippers. These spurs are still tall, with tall peaked arches reaching high above the worshippers.
In the centre of the cathedral is the base of the spire, which is supported on four massive pillars surrouding the circular altar. The inside of the spire glistens with shimmering blue light refletcing from glass and tile alike. This light beams down, focused onto the altar below. Narrow precarious staircases which wind up into the heights above.
