Mash the Muscle-Wizard

Mash the Muscle-Wizard is a folk hero, feared outlaw, and magical anomaly within the Oligarchy. A towering figure of raw strength and arcane talent, Mash defies the traditions of both physical and magical disciplines by fusing them into a single, devastating art form. Where most wizards rely on intricate gestures and arcane words, Mash lets his fists do the talking, often while bellowing his infamous catchphrase: "I cast fist!"

Once a member of the Mage Circles, specifically the Circle of Embodied Energies, Mash showed early promise in merging martial prowess with magic. However, his approach was marked by brute force and disrespect for magical tradition, as well a tendency to punch through problems. This would proved too chaotic for the Circle’s hierarchy. He was expelled after leveling a training tower during a “dispute” with a senior instructor. Since then, Mash has become a fugitive, unbound by Circle law or Noble command.

Now a hedge-wizard, Mash wanders the provinces of the Oligarchy, siding with the downtrodden and feared by the elite. Serfs whisper his name with hope, nobles curse it with fear. He's known to target enforcers of cruel houses like House Charon and House Gha'ard, toppling watchtowers and freeing work camps with the same ease he crushes a man’s skull. Many claim to have seen him punch a spell in half. Others believe he once knocked a warhorse unconscious by sneezing in its direction.

Despite his infamy, Mash is not mindless. He’s cunning in his own way, strategic in his brawls and thoughtful in his justice. He mocks Noble Houses, mocks mage councils, and laughs at the noble obsession with bloodlines. His magic is rudimentary but potent, often focused through his own body or converted into raw force. Walls break. Ground cracks. Chains shatter. All the while, he bellows with laughter
