House Bottlin

Leader: Lotta Bottlin

Great House: House Wheelnameitlater

Province: Goldbrook

Economy: House Bottlin has brewed its fortune fortune over many years. This gnomish-majority house is known across the Oligarchy for its bubbling cauldrons, fizzy concoctions, and relentless experimentation with all things alcoholic and beverage related. Where House Still offers tradition, Bottlin offers innovation. From mushroom meads to glittering berry ciders that shimmer in the glass, Bottlin brews are as unpredictable as they are intoxicating. Some products even contain alchemical products to give that a little extra... kick. They operate massive underground breweries beneath Goldbrook, often powered by steam and magic alike, with the occasional misplaced bottle becoming a low-grade explosive. Distribution is handled by a clockwork cart network maintained in partnership with House Tech-Tock. A few of their more popular drinks include Bottlin Lightnin and Fermental Breakdown.

Culture: House Bottlin thrives on curiosity, creativity, and just the right level of inebriation. Its members are encouraged to drink (responsibly-ish), invent, and compete in the Great Bottlin Brew-Off, a house tradition in which the year’s wildest beverage is crowned with much fanfare and passing out. Their motto, "Why sip when you can savor?", is engraved above every taproom door. While friendly to outsiders, they view House Still with a bubbly mix of rivalry and disdain, mocking their staid recipes and "boring barrels". Many Bottlins even dye their hair with ingredients from failed brews, resulting in an unusually colorful populace.

History: Originally a branch of House Evergarden, House Bottlin split off two centuries ago after a family feud over a disastrous joint venture into mushroom ales. Lotta Bottlin’s great-grandmother declared they were "unworthy of the bubbles" and moved operations deep into the hills of Goldbrook , founding the first Bottlin Brew-Bunker. Over the years, they cultivated both fame and foam, slowly overtaking other competitors until they were recognized as a Major House under Wheelnameitlater. Their rise sparked an ongoing alcohol war with House Still, a feud that has led to sabotage, swapped barrels, and at least one cursed hangover that lasted three years.
