Culture: Flagon is an insular and subterranean province whose people live almost entirely underground. The population is a blend of humans, dwarves, and gnomes, with many humans bearing pale skin and a deep aversion to sunlight due to generations spent beneath the surface. Life revolves around the mines, the taverns, and the song. Worship of Jover and Rockin Stone is commonplace, with many taverns doubling as temples. Festivals in honor of Rockin Stone are frequent and filled with booming choirs, brawling contests, and glittering displays of mineral wealth.
History: Flagon has always been a land of stone and frost. Once a Dwarven hold, it was forcibly integrated into the Oligarchy over time. When its original Noble Houses faltered, House Lock’ahain filled the power vacuum, using military and political pressure to install a human-led house (House Pyre). Over the years, Pyre integrated well with the province, gaining the respect and loyalty of the locals. Now they are seen as native rulers, with their leader Ivan Pyre (a cleric of Jover and seer through song) guiding the province from Rockin’s Roll.
Despite Lock’ahain’s rule, Flagon maintains a unique culture rooted in stone, steel, and song, echoing the divine rhythm of Rockin Stone beneath every pickaxe strike and bardic verse.
