Jere (JEHR-ay)
Located several systems away from Zenricho, Jere is a cityscape planet that is known for its focus on information, knowledge, and education. Jere is home to some of the greatest universities in the galaxy.
Geography
Jere was originally a forest planet but is currently covered in a planet-wide city. The city is separated into specific districts for easy navigation. While Zenricho's buildings are widely varied and come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, the majority of Jere's structures are tall, pale, and sharp. Think whitewashed exteriors and enormous glass windows.
Unlike Zenricho, Jere has protected areas that are set aside for wildlife. These areas are several miles wide, walled in, and placed under security. Schools take occasional trips to look, but the ecosystems within the walls are unmanaged. The remaining rivers and lakes are treated similarly, with walls and security to prevent trespassing.
History
Jere was discovered before Zenricho, but its inhabitants stayed in the thousands until after Zenricho had already started becoming a metropolis. Jere's cities began to expand rapidly as people spread across the galaxy, but the government in charge of controlling the change kept the environmental destruction to a minimum. Although, inevitably, nearly all of Jere's native flora and fauna was overtaken by roads and buildings, the process was done in a far more careful manner and less nature was lost.
Jere joined the Interplanetary Peace Alliance fairly early on, likely around 90 BPC. Its governmental leaders organized cleanup efforts after the Polaris Collapse, helped draft the legislature for the Decision On Slavery, and became an active part of the galaxy. Jere is most well-known for its universities, which are hailed as the best in the galaxy.

Climate
Because of the protected areas for wildlife and native flora, Jere's climate is warmer and more changeable than other cityscapes. There is a distinct difference between winter and summer. Winter temperatures are usually around 10-40 degrees Fahrenheit and summer temperatures are between 60-80. Rainfall is occasional and predictable and light cloud cover is the most common weather.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild

I am honestly shocked. I wrote this entire thing in one hour. I made all of this up on the spot.
