Night of Stars and Silks

A widely celebrated festival within the region that recounts that infamous night millennia ago when a visitor arrived from the heavens. The widely known version of events go that: stars from the celestial planes descended upon their world in a shower of divine light, streaking across the sky, trailing thousands of brilliant threads behind them. With them, they brought the blessings from the heavens, bestowing prosperity, good health, and bounty to the land and its people. It is heralded as a divine omen of The First themselves.

Each festival goer is given a brightly colored ribbon that is tied around their wrist before enjoying an evening full of frivolity, food, games, and performances. The night culminates with a dance around a large loom-like structure, whereby nine random audience members are chosen to be wrapped in colorful silks flecked with gold, depending on the color of their ribbon Once securely fastened, participants are essentially used as shuttles on a loom, and woven in patterns to symbolize the stars descending to Tre'Novis. The finished tapestry depicts the land and evening sky during the Night of Stars and Silks, the golden flecks representing the stars, streaking through the sky.
