The First

Before the existence of The Favored, who created the races of Kith, there existed an entity known as, The First: An amalgamation of all things physical and existential existing as one. The First created the First World, but as The First itself existed as an infinite quantity of all things tangible and intangible, the physical world it created was wild and chaotic, filled with jagged earth, molten rock, frozen oceans, incalculable heights, and unfathomable abysses.
The First then created the First Living, or The First Spawn as they are currently known. Creatures with shifting and nonsensical forms, their minds tumultuous and confused, as that of the mind of their chaotic birther. These gargantuan creatures wandered the First World aimless, volatile, and destructive towards each other, the First World, and eventually, The First themselves…
The moment the First Spawn turned on their creator, instead of destroying The First, in a paradoxical event of chaos somehow negating chaos, The First was fragmented into nine entities, each with their own powers, purpose, and for the first time, clarity and focus. These nine fought back against the First Spawn, slaying some, and weakening and sealing away those they could not defeat in the extreme landscapes of the First World.
With their new found sense of purpose, and threat of the First Spawn neutralized, The Nine turned their attention to tame and calm the disordered world around them, changing and imbuing the landscape with features unique unto themselves. Thus, The Nine gave rise to the world we know as, Tre'Novis, in a time referred to as The Calm.
