Maximilian’s Earthen Cache

Noted mine located on the outskirts of Erudition, near the base of Otiluke's Linn. Named for the famous wizard, Maximilian who discovered the mine, its saturation with valuable minerals, and the association with the meteor that crashed into the ground thousands of years prior. A valuable source of minerals and ores for construction, arcane, and alchemical purposes. While most of the materials are of the banal versions, there are some cases where varieties possessing different qualities, as well as specimens unique to the site are mined with some frequency. 
Access to the mine is controlled by the Geologic Institute of Greenmount (GIG), a neutral party whose only interest in the mine's contents from a purpose to study nature, not monetary or magical gain. In general, access if only granted to those with a professional interest in its contents, with two of the most well known mining companies being Axal Minimis  and Hauers and Hurriers . Academic and trade agencies are also afforded access, such as all eight wizarding colleges, alchemical companies, as well as metalworkers and jewelers.
