Cloak of Vanishment

The Cloak of Vanishment is, as the name implies, an enchanted cloak that grants its wearer invisibility. It was created by Drev, a Mamman clothesmaker who sought out praise, but died alone and unrecognised..

Properties

The Cloak of Vanishing's properties are fairly simple. It has only one power: to turn the wearer invisible. Any living creature who ties the cloak around their necks is granted invisibility. Anyone wrapped under the cloak while it is making someone invisible will, by proxy, become invisible as well while in the cloak.
Upon death, the cloak's properties do wear off, as they did with the creator, Drev. Anyone turned invisible will become visible when the wearer dies or takes off the cloak.
It is said to protect from some spells with its wind enchantment that grants it invisibility, but it cannot protect the wearer from any physical attacks like stabs or blunt force.
Sound is only concealed from within the cloak. Therefore, if one can wrap themselves entirely in the cloak, it will muffle any sound they make. However, if a footstep is taken outside of the cloak, or a head is peaked out to cough, it cannot hide that.

Drev

Drev was the craftsman who made the Cloak of Vanishing. He intended it to be used to show off his skills and receive praise, but after creating it, he was not seen again until his death. His tale, A Ghost in My House, is one that tells of his struggle from creation of the cloak until his death.

Appearance

When not worn, the Cloak of Vanishment is a normal red fur cloak with a bright yellow V on the back for vanishment. However, if one were to look on the inside, they would find the letters DRE. Drev, the creator, wished for credit from his creation. Therefore, it was sewed into the very cloak itself.
