Rovna

Rovna, best known for its church which services all of Skalitz as well, is a village in the Skalitz Viscounty, the primary purpose of which is to function as a food source for Skalitz. The village has practically grown together with the Skalitz outskirts and since this happened, the village has not been treated as a separate entity, though in paper Rovna is its own entity in its own shire.

History

Rovna was among the first established villages in the Staglands - in fact, people already lived in Rovna prior to the arrival of the conquerors, and many present day inhabitants are descended from the indigenous inhabitants. As a result, the people of Rovna predominantly live in A-Frame style cottages, where the main floor is built into the ground. This style of cottage is extremely popular among more primitive people, but they flood extremely easily, and so they have not been popular with civilized people who often dwell near rivers.
