Hew

Hew is an enchanted Dwarven Rockseeker Waraxe that appears to have been specifically made to destroy trees and plant-based creatures. This otherwise unassuming axe will give the wielder a sense of paranoia and heightened awareness when in the presence of many trees - the sensation can be somewhat unnerving for animals, but a trained warhorse would not be affected by the weapon's magic and a character who knows that the weapon has this effect can easily shrug the effect off. While seeming thoroughly unimpressive, the axe swings in a nearly perfect arc and is engraved with a symbol of Shield Dwarf Clan Foehammer and specifically appears to have been made in Triboar, possibly in the still existing Foehammer Smithy. The axe is clearly a few decades old, and it was possible to glean from the axe that it was wielded by a dwarf of Clan Blackbanner of no particular renown, who had a feud with the Dryads of Neverwinter Wood.

Dwarven Waraxe

The Dwarven Waraxe is essentially just a Pollaxe, but made specifically for Dwarves. They were used in duels, primarily, and were wielded by Dwarven Guards, but these days they're mainly found in the possession of Rockseekers who have modified them to function as pick-axes and climbing picks. The Guard-Version is in no way different from a regular Pollaxe, but usable by Dwarves, whereas the Rockseeker version cannot deal blunt-damage but gives +2 on all climbing checks and counts as a Pickaxe and felling axe for purposes of needing such a tool.     Damage Rating: 2d4+1 (one-handed)   Traits: Two-Handed (1d10+1), Versatile (slashing and piercing)   Enchantment: +1, +1d4 Extra Damage against Plant-Based creatures, plant-based items or actual plants.   Accuracy: +1 (+1)   Magical Effect: While within 30 ft of a tree, wielder has advantage on perception checks, but also cannot recover from fatigue while near trees as they cannot gain restful sleep (unless forced into sleep somehow).
