Ratzel, a
Goblin who followed Manoch Augustus, the founder of the Eastern Treader Alliance (ETA) footstep is now a member of the great council in the
Lightfoot Kingdom.
History
Ratzel's fascination with the story of Manoch Augustus, a man who chose to serve the gods but also created the wealthiest company in the east, influenced her deeply from a young age. She aspired to follow a similar path, initially attempting to become a clergywoman devoted to
Brandobaris. However, she became entangled with the Eastern Trader Alliance, swiftly rising to a prominent role within the organization.
Eventually, Ratzel secured the prestigious position of leader of the Eastern Trader Alliance and also became a member of the Great Council, overseeing trade and economic matters. Her responsibilities and ambitions led her to accumulate substantial debts.
As her debts grew, the military leadership sent the genral of the army and great council member responsible for overseeing the military, alongside
Pike Trickfoot, his second in command, to collect the owed funds. Facing an insurmountable debt, Ratzel considered making a deal with the corrupt general to erase her financial obligations. However, Pike Trickfoot, the general's second-in-command, had grown tired of the money lending scheme benefiting only the corrupt leader. Pike took matters into her own hands and eliminated the corrupt general.
A new agreement was struck between Ratzel and Pike. In exchange for her silence about the murder, and Ratzel's help to ascend to the position of Great Council member, Pike would erase Ratzel's debt. This clandestine pact was accepted, and both women carried on, bound by this secret.
Under Ratzel's skilled supervision, the Eastern Trader Alliance has expanded its influence across various trade routes, asserting its presence in nearly every facet of commerce. However, recent insights gleaned from observing neighboring realms have opened up new opportunities for the Eastern Trader Alliance, heralding a fresh era in weapon trading: breeding monsters to serve on the battlefield.
