Nael'An
Nael'an, one of the elite warriors among the shadar-kai, undertook a reconnaissance mission alongside her brother, Ovid'an. Their objective was to observe the manor of a higher Vampire whose activities had raised suspicions among the shadar-kai.
During their mission, Nael'an and her brother witnessed a dark ritual—an unsuccessful attempt to create a philosopher's stone—that resulted in the Death of many shadar-kai. Hastening back to their people, they discovered lifeless bodies devoid of souls.
Nael'An now follows her brother almost mindlessly. Consumed by guilt, she struggles to forgive herself, believing that she bears partial responsibility for the cataclysmic events that unfolded during their mission.
