Characteristics

Mental traits

Marion's personality is marked by a mix of sharp wit and a sailor's vocabulary. She is quick-witted and sarcastic, often using humor to cope with her decades of isolation. However, the prolonged confinement within the figurehead has taken a toll on her sanity. Her grip on reality is tenuous and inconsistent. Marion's emotions swing wildly, and she can be moody, going from laughter to fits of anger or melancholy in an instant. Her knowledge of the outside world is severely limited, as she has been separated from it for a long time.

History

Marion Anker was once a living, breathing sailor who served as the second-in-command alongside Crazy Kelley Roland, the captain of their ship. Marion and Kelley were not only shipmates but also lovers. However, their relationship was marred by Kelley's uncontrollable anger issues, which grew worse over time. As their love soured, Marion desperately sought to leave Kelley's side and the ship.   One fateful day, she attempted to abandon the vessel, but Kelley intercepted her. A heated and furious argument ensued between them. In the heat of the moment, Kelley, in his rage, placed a curse upon Marion, binding her very soul to the ship's figurehead.   Years passed, and Kelley eventually retired from piracy. He dismantled his ship and used parts of it to construct a temple where he safeguarded his accumulated treasures. Marion, still trapped within the figurehead, was placed at the temple's entrance, left alone and forgotten for decades. The isolation and curse gradually eroded her sanity, leaving her in a precarious mental state.   Decades later, a pirate named Wellan arrived at the temple and agreed to help free Marion. However, instead of releasing her from her wooden prison, Wellan unwittingly bound her spirit to his sword. In exchange for her powers, Marion made a pact with Wellan, requiring him to find a solution to free her soul from this new confinement.   Now, Marion Anker exists as a ghostly presence within the sword.
