Mental traits

Friendly and a bit wistful, Faneya chats with anyone who stops at their shop, as happy to hear the recent news as to make a sale.   Personality Trait. “Gossip nourishes me like a spring rain, but I hate to hear or pass on bad news.”   Ideal. “People are like Jewels: Some best compliment a ring alone, others must carefully ornate a diadem as a group—and some need to be discarded, lest they ruin the entire collection.”   Bond. “I am my own person, and I fiercely cherish my independence. I don’t want to owe anyone anything.”   Flaw. “I love to talk, which means I don’t always listen to what’s really being said.”

History

Faneya is a Tiefling, an orphan that grew up in the Church of Waukeen. Growing among devotee of Waukeen, the now teenager tiefling hoped to become an acolyte and to serve her goddess. However her fiendish heritage made her an outcast, and the church refused her admission.   Rejected, and with nowhere to go, she started to wander the streets, finding small job here and there, and praying to waukeen for a better opportunity. It is during this period of her life that Faneya got tattooed, a symbol of her faith.   To this day, she still believe it is this act that brought forth what follows. The young tiefling was spotted for her smooth talk by Skyla Brrownoak herself one day, the noblewoman looked for someone to serve as a shopkeeper in one of her family-owned Jewel shops, and offered the tiefling education about Jewel and a place to sleep in exchange for her work. Something Faneya gratefully accepted.   Taught about jewel craft, and sleeping in the back of the shop, Faneya still serves her duty as a shopkeeper. The few spells she know has a devotee of Waukeen are used to secure the shop she work in.
