Goals
The Afflicted, a recently established illegal society, ostensibly presents itself with a public goal of protecting and rescuing those in despair. However, their true agenda reveals a darker reality: individuals gathered by the organization either serve its criminal syndicate or, if deemed useless, have their souls sold to Fury.
Hierarchy
Remaining deliberately small to avoid unwanted attention, The Afflicted is led by a mysterious figure known only as The Benefactor. The true power of the Benefactor is their apparent anonymity. The enigmatic leader is unknown and proven impervious to discovery efforts by magical means. It is assumed the highest ranking members of the Hereafter know the Benefactor’s identity; unfortunately, high rankings members are known to but few members.
