Ivory Duchies

The Lands of Milk and Honey

A loose confederacy of city-states each ruled by a Duke, the Ivory Duchies are primary an alliance of mutual defense that span nearly the entire eastern coast of Lados⁣⁣. So-named for the sparkling white cliffs that stretch up and down that coast, these five countries are generally seen as a land of plenty and prosperity where one can go to escape the troubles of the world and simply live life.

Structure

Each member state of the Ivory Duchies is a self-governing, autonomous nation. The leaders of these five countries form the Council of Dukes, which meets annually (and as needed) to determine any actions that might need to be taken en masse for the safety of all duchies, discuss trading tariffs and permissions, and other matters of the confederacy.

Public Agenda

As a whole the Ivory Duchies look to protect their own lands and foster prosperity, however the organization doesn't truly have a unified agenda beyond mutual defense.

80% human, 7% elf, 7% smallfolk, 3% gaian, 3% other.

Territories

The Ivory Duchies at large run from the eastern edge of the Towers Mountains⁣⁣ to several miles off the eastern shoreline, and from the southern edge of the Whitepeak Mountains⁣⁣ east of the Towers to the dunes of the Bone Eaters Desert⁣⁣.

Military

The Ivory Duchies is one of the largest political bodies in the world and if ever threatened as a whole could field a truly powerful army numbering near a hundred thousand combined forces comprising of soldiers, cavalry, siege engines, and warships.
