The Log Lift
A waterfall powered elevator that hoists people, and logs up from the bottom of The Pinchot Crater and delivers them safely down as well.
Purpose / Function
The Log lift was commissioned and partially constructed by The Cutters Guild of Bendora, to transport their workers, and goods up and down the steep cliff face of The Pinchot Crater. Logs from foresting operations are loaded onto the wooden floor, and tied down to the ground. The ground then shifts when a lever is pulled, and it begins to climb up the cliff, making use of the free mechanical energy that comes from the crashing waterfall right next to the system.
Alterations
When it was first constructed, there was little to no management of who or what was using the machine. after several breaks, and repairs, the Guild sent a Manager to oversee the operations out in Crater. When the manager by the name of Veemas Loren arrived, he had several changes done to the site, including a home, or office for him to work from. The Building is very close to the lift, giving Veemas a perfect view to manage the lift, and work on ledgers and trade routes in his office.
