Crystals and Dragons

General Summary

After learning from Ilva Torath that there were mysterious sounds and smells in the forest, Tilly heard a strange, sorrowful howling in the trees and went to investigate. She discovered a strange, rare creature known as a Catoblepas tied to a tree. As she approached, she was overcome by the smell that emanated from the creature, and decided to leave it be for now. The creature was gone when she returned with allies.
During his journey homewards with Corus Tetcheri, Sticken Carroc was whisked away by his infernal patron, The Blues Man for some work in the hells. Immediately thereafter, Sticken reappeared before Corus, but older and delirious. He jumbled out some tremendously powerful magics that took the pair back to Corby's Landing, and over time, Sticken seemed to calm and return to normal, without real understanding of what had happened to him. Back together, the four adventurers shared stories of what they had seen and done.
They agreed to accompany Ilva into the forest to investigate the other strange things that she had witnessed while they were away. Namely, a group of people flying through the air in pursuit of a giant glowing crystal. Venturing deep into the forest and up the mountain, the group found a research team with a Mysterious Crystal. The Group consisted of four The Chaxtux mercenaries, Sett, a Gith who was identified as one of the Monks of the Blank Page, and Atun, a gemstone dragonborn scholar of the Nawatli.

Feeling some divine presence from the Mysterious Crystal, Tilly reached out her hand to touch it, and was immediately overcome by a strange force, turning her defensive against those gathered, her skin turning to crystal and performing strange reality bending feats. The highly competent assembled group managed to pacify her, though not understand the magics that took a hold of her.
