Corby's Landing
General Summary
Our hero's journey begins in the small provincial village of Corby's Landing. In the year of 788 DR, conflict between the Balkirian Empire and the Eidenian Accord reached a tipping point, and war was once again called. Baron Alecto Bedegar, lord of the region, called a levy of all able bodies between the ages of 16 and 25. Of Corby's Landing, this meant the Levy called Flora Copplestone, Alexei Torrath, Lorraine Carroc, Percy Carroc, Filbert Greenshores, & Paolo Romazi.
Paolo was killed in battle at the Siege of Kipbach, and so Corby's Landing Town Council came up with a plan to send away the children that would be of age when the levy was next called. They would go to the capital city of Karine to learn and become prepared for the conflict in their future. These children were Tristan Osric, Sticken Carroc, Copper Alitur, & Tilly Yllastin-Daughter Florian.
The Levy would be called again while the children were away, and though their names were called, they were not there to be taken. In this second conflict, Battle of Henniksburg, Alexei and Flora were killed.
