Syvriak the Steel Blood King

Eight years ago, the slums rebelled against Arsilius. While the Puppeteer of Blood ran one of his games, forcing a child to murder his debtor parents through foul mind control, a young Ascended named Syrivak shared his power with his closest allies, creating what would become the Steelblood Order. Immune to Arsilius’ power, the knights fought through his thralls and Syvriak cut down the tyrant, seizing control of the Silver Tower. With the pieces of the former lord’s body buried at crossroads by rivers throughout the surrounding countryside, Syvriak could become king.
At first, his rule was benign. Those who had participated in Arsilius’ cruel games or even aided in finding participants for the Blood Carousel were taken into court in the Inner City and tried, then summarily executed for their crimes against the people of Ars Silica. Though none of Arsilius’ inner circle were ever judged innocent, few blamed the new leadership for it. All of Silica had been united with hate for the former ruler. While strict, even harsh, the new Steelblood Order was fair in their punishments and restored some semblance of order to the city.
Slowly, almost so slowly that it was unnoticable, Syvriak became obsessed. Those closest to the Steelblood King fear that the Godcurse is consuming him, but are powerless to stop it. As his sanity unravels, so too does the ability of the Steelblood Order to retain peace within the city. Latching onto an impossible goal of spreading the Steelblood Order across the continent and bringing order and peace to the peoples of the world, Syvriak continues forward with mad determination despite the effort it takes his subordinates to keep the fragile peace of Ars Silica from crumbling around him.
