Reza al-Mahir
As the town mayor of Ma'Barid, Reza is a halfing with a big black mustache.
Reza has been the mayor for the last 30 years. He’s in his mid 70’s. Halflings in the area live to their early 200’s. He has that honest, down to earth, super friendly, always ready to lend his neighbors a hand attitude that makes him extremely popular in the town.
Everyone knows Reza and Reza knows everyone. He’s also a pretty shrewd businessman, able to negotiate with the traders that come through town. Has an uncanny knack for negotiating trades that wind up with both parties walking away thinking they got the better deal.
Reza runs the Old Stones Lodge. There’s an old stone ring on the grounds. It’s always been there as far as everyone knows. It’s the nicest tavern/inn in the town and where most traders stay during their visits to the town.
Gives great hugs. Often laments that he can’t pick Breezy up and spin her around like he used to. Breezy absolutely can do it to him though.
