Thangol

One of the Isles of Ga'rosh, Thangol was first to be colonized by Gabbonese forces with the outpost of Towle. Now a more industrialized city, thanks to the successful mining trade, Towle has become a minor capitol and attempts to represent the rest of the Island in any larger disputes. An island of brown rocks and red clay, Thangol is the ancestral home of the orcish tribes. Many of the townfolk make the pilgrimage to Thangol mountain in the north every year to celebrate the new year with traditional festivities and tournaments of skill. While the mountain is a maze of caves and tunnels, beyond the base of the mountain, the land is flat and dry. The Orcish people, while initially resistant to Gabbonese influence, embraced the shift to a more permanent lifestyle and took to mining naturally. The Gabbonese government was ousted easily by the warrior culture of the orcs, and legislation has been replaced with more traditional rule of law when they achieved statehood.
