Kri appears as a toddler sized, humanoid cockroach. They have a large head with a snaggletoothed beak and large bulbous eyes. Their antennae a long and hang down to their thighs, Their segmented body is balance on two spindly legs, and the have a set of large, oversized hands with apposable thumbs.Apparel & Accessories
Kri doesn't often wear clothes due to how awkwardly they fit their body, but they will occasionally be bundled up for the winter. They will play dress up in just about anything, not having a preference for clothes. They are eventually gifted a pink neckerchief by Michelangelo so they can be like the turtles.
Human Form
When wearing a Cloaking Brooch, Kri appears as a small toddler with fluffy pale pink hair and large red eyes. They have dark skin like their care taker Lindsey Baker, and dress in a little pair of overalls with a bug embroidery on it.Special Abilities
Kri has a lot of abilities from their cockroach mutation. They can run very fast, and can eat just about anything and everything. They're antennae allows them to pick up on pheromones that humans can't. They have premature wings that will potentially allow them flight as they get older. Kri also has the special ability to communicate with non-humanoid mutants, able to rally an army of them to their cause.Mental characteristics
Personal history
Kri was grown in a lab, Stockgen to be specific, by Baxter Stockman. He managed to get a hold of a sample of the turtles' mutant DNA after failed dissection attempt and used it to start developing his own breed of mutant creatures. Most of them were failures except for one; Experiement #545, a hatchling smokey cockroach whose egg sac was injected with the mutagen solution. Technically several instances of 545 hatched, but only one survived by eating their siblings.
545 would rabidly mutate into a a two foot tall humanoid creature with limited intelligence. It wasn't until Lindsey was assigned with giving it a cognition test that she realized that it had the mind equivalent to a 2 year old toddler. Stockman began running brutal tests to train the creature to follow his command, and when Lindsey began to feel empathy for the poor thing, she teamed up with the turtles to break into Stockgen and rescue Kri from the facility. Kri would end up using their connection with the other mutants to stage a stampede that takes out Stockman.
Kri would end up living in Lindsey's care from that point on, while occasionally getting help from Splinter and the turtles.
Gender Identity
Kri's biological gender is unknown, but despite having the ability to test their DNA, Lindsey has no intention on forcing a gender on them, so they are treated as non-binary.

Personality
Kri is still young and is still forming their own person, but they tend to be a spunky little guy, if not a bit strange. They are a wild child that will crawl on the walls and ceilings and eat everything in their path, but their also incredibly curious about their world and is always wondering off to go play with something new. This little bug has a lot of love in their heart and gets attached to new people very easily, even if they don't really understand social queues. They are always willing to see and try new things, and is capable of understanding more than people expect.Social
Family Ties
The closest thing to Kri has to family is Lindsey, who is a mother figure to them, but they also see Splinter and the Turtles as family, and treats them as such.
Mannerisms
Despite being a humanoid mutant, Kri carries a lot of their animalistic traits and instincts. They will often run around on all fours, hide in dark places and skitter around sniffing out food. They tend to move around in a rather unnerving twitchy manner like a bug, and can be spotted fidgeting or stimming in place often.
Kri is nearly non-verbal, they don't speak English but can understand it fairly decently, instead they communicate mostly with squawks, clicks, and chitters. Even as they begin to learn to speak, it is often in slow, broken English due to the difficulty to say the words with their mouth parts. Kri is better at using gestures and vague sign language to convey what they wanna say.
Hobbies & Pets
Kri collects bugs and brings them into their home, even when Lindsey has politely asked them not to.
Relationships
History
Lindsey was working as Stockman's assistant when Kri was created, and she was assigned with doing cognitive exams on them. It was during these tests that she noticed Kri behaved like a young child, one that was actually very curious about her as well. Kri would start trying to communicate with Lindsey, inviting her to play, and drawing pictures of her. This eventually endeared Lindsey to the creature. She even was the one to give them the name 'Kri' based on the cooing sounds they would make. When Stockman's tests became more abusive and cruel to Kri, Lindsey made the difficult decision to give up her career to save this child from the hell Stockman would surely put it through. With the help of the turtles, she broke Kri out of Stockgen and took them home.
Relationship Reasoning
History
Kri was mutated with a combination of Stockman's cells and the turtle's stabilized mutagen. The initial goal was to breed hundreds of insect hybrids just like them so that Stockman could create an army of mutants to take control of New York. However this plan backfired when he abused Kri during experiments, causing Lindsey to step in and rescue them.
Relationship Reasoning
Kri does not like Stockman at all. They are young and see him as the bad man that locked them in a cage and hurt them repeatedly. They don't see him as a father figure and will attack him on sight.
