The Mallinger Family

The Mallinger family is comfortably wealthy and holds some power within the town of Gratz. They buy their way into important positions, which is how Adam became captain of the guard despite his incompetence.
Later, by 150 AL, the younger granddaughter of Adam Mallinger (see: Wake the Dead NPCs ) marries into the Lavandin royal family (see: Age of Lavandin ). Notably, Adam Mallinger also becomes a Lich after the events of Wake the Dead .

Notable Mallingers

• Adam Mallinger: Captain of the guard of Gratz, later a lich. As of 150 AL, was housed somewhere in the Obsidian Palace with his power significantly drained by his granddaughter, Olympia. As a lich, he goes by the name Adam the Malignant.
• Queen Consort Claribel Mallinger: The younger granddaughter of Adam Mallinger who is married to King Amias Lavandin (see: Age of Lavandin). Mother of Nolan and Everly Lavandin. She was actively being poisoned by her sister, Olympia, around the time of 150 AL, and is the favored granddaughter of Adam Mallinger. She was used as a bargaining chip of Olympia's in order to manipulate Adam.
• Countess Olympia Mallinger: Sister of Claribel, granddaughter of Adam, former lover of Jox (see: The Foe of Many Faces Returns NPCs), and mother of Biem (see previous link). A necromancer, she was dean of the schools of Evocation and Necromancy at The Acropolis Consortium of Magi, and murdered many people, including Janus Cosades (father of Pius Cosades and Cassia Cosades, see FOMF Returns NPCs). After faking her death during her welcome party at the palace, most of the populace believes she has been killed by Quid the Reveler. However, the truth is she kidnapped Biem, her child, after faking her death and was later killed by Tasha Koroleva in 150 AL.
