Frost Gate keys

Three amulets of frosted ice, each with a gold leaf in the center, hung from leather cords, created by Queen Oonagh when she crafted the Frost Gate. These keys are the only way to pass through the secret Frost Gate.

Ulrik turned back to me. “There’s a cottage tucked into a hidden valley west of here. Oonagh and Fionnbharr left the only keys here. They would come on a ‘diplomatic visit’ and sneak off through this gate to enjoy some peace and quiet.” The king gave his brother a pained look. “I should never have trusted you to keep the keys. You’ve lost them. I know it.”

“I have not!” Ulf dumped a drawer on the floor. Paper, rocks, and a fork fell out. “I just haven’t seen them in a hundred years or so. Aha!” The dwarf opened a small box that had been sitting on his desk the entire time and pulled out three amulets made of frosted ice, each with a golden leaf in its center. “Found them,” he said smugly, dangling the amulets from their leather cords.
