Tilvera
The material plane, Tilvera, was created by the gods to provide the mortal races with a home. Somewhere that they can flourish and develop themselves without the chaos and influence of demons, devils, gods, and angels. Tilvera plays an important role in the structure of the cosmos, providing a central hub for the other planes of the multiverse.
The world of Tilvera has been around for many thousands of years, with many kingdoms and important people coming and going alongside history. The world has existed for longer than records have been present and so there's potentially still much to discover. Mysterious lands and people provide every opportunity for adventure and excitement, alongside the constantly shifting social landscapes of the various lands, there's always a story to find just around the corner.
Geography
Tilvera is made up of two larger landmasses, to the east and west of the world. The eastern mass is mostly made up of forests and plains, with the citizens of these areas living fairly simple lives, fishing and farming. There are great mountain ranges that stretch across countries and create natural divisions between people. To the south there is an expansive desert that hides certain peoples secrets, the home of the criminal underbelly of the world.
The west is a long, snaking mass that follows an enormous mountain range all the way to the south. Many kinds of people live here in these forests and tundras, but none have ever known true peace. Hidden colonies and sanctuaries provide respite for those that don't know a true home, but they aren't safe for long.
Another smaller island sits to the north-west, a desert continent that houses the myths and magic of the Elves. Isolated just like it inhabitants, this island finds itself cut off from any other landmass through some magical means. This also rings true for the island chain of Draduth to the south, the home of the Dwarves; a dangerous collection of volcanic and unstable land sits atop their underground kingdoms.
With the oceans between ranging from shallow gulfs to depths unknown, there is much to be found through exploration. Monsters are said to lurk in all kinds of regions of the world, whether it's wilderness or a city center.
