Tilvera

A strong blizzard tears across the sky, the mountain tops more treacherous than ever before. The darkness covers the magic that erupts in thunder and lightning overhead. Four figures make their way across the edge of the cliff, slowly moving towards the evil wizard they've been hunting for many months now.   The Dwarf squints through the thin cloth across his eyes as he attempts to find a path ahead, using his hammer to carve a line in the snow beneath him for his companions behind. His foot slips slightly on some hidden ice, beginning to topple over to the abyss below. He lets out a yell, feeling a hand grasp his arm to catch him.   The Man plants his feet and pulls the Dwarf back up from the cliff edge, his sword dug into the stone behind him as an anchor. Unable to speak over the sound of the storm he nods. The Dwarf continues moving forward, being much more careful of his footing than before.   Behind them, the Halfling shivers and hold her cloak tight. Almost unaware of the world around her, she's focused on following the Man's footsteps ahead. She barely wanted to come on this adventure but couldn't leave her friends behind, and couldn't leave the townsfolk to the danger of the wizard.   The Elf takes up the rear, able to see all the way to the front of the line with their keen vision. They mumble a counterspell under their breath in an attempt to keep the storm at bay; while it's working for the time being, there's no knowing if they can keep it up. They trip and lose focus for just a second.   The storm closes in quick. The group loses sight of one another in a panic. The Halfling leaps forward to try and grab the Man but is left with her face in the snow on the ground. As the Elf regains their concentration, the storm begins to abate slightly. The Dwarf turns back to see only two of his companions, and some small stones tumbling over the cliff into the pitch black below.

Introduction

The world of Tilvera has been around for many thousands of years, with many kingdoms, races, and factions coming and going with history. This tome will take you through not only that history, but also the religious beliefs, mythology, geography, and cosmic aspects of the world. A large number of these areas are considered common knowledge for the citizenry of Tilvera, and so players in its world should attempt a similar familiarity with the language and terminology of the land.   For reader familiar with the Forgotten Realms setting for Dungeon & Dragons 5th Edition, Tilvera functions in a fairly similar way with some names altered for flavour; the Feywild being renamed to The Aurora for example. The main alterations are in the Pantheon of Gods, the Multiverse, and the world itself.   In terms of the potential adventures to be had in Tilvera, any period of history can be selected, at any location in the world. There's a plethora of major world events for players and Game Masters alike to set their adventures in, as well as a number of smaller pieces of history that allow storytellers to expand on the lore of the world in their own ways. There are always options to alter the world sa you see fit in order to suit your own stories.
