Mikhael Iantris
Lead Researcher Mikhael Zanzellden (a.k.a. Mika)
Mikhael Iantris was the Lead Researcher for the Agrammon Magic Research Facility and a former member of the Apothecary Alliance. Renown for his research in humanoid magic infusion, Mikhael worked closely with Ezreal Iantris to find ways to properly imbue humanoid bodies with arcane energies. Following the events of the Arc: Balanor, he was recruited into the Agrammon International Investigation Agency.

Personal history
Mikhael Zanzellden was born in Phabe in 1400 to well-respected magic researchers. At a young age, Mikhael took a strong interest in the work of apothecaries and how to change existing matter. Mikhael’s parents — known for their research in channeling arcane energies — were a bit disappointed that their son would not continue their research, but were very supportive of the young prodigy, and supported his work.
Mikhael studied with various apothecaries across Elda until he was in his early nineties. He was accepted into the Apothecary Alliance and began research at their Apothecary Tower when he was ninety-eight.
Mikhael was known for being rather eccentric and would often challenge the typical way of doing things, which had a tendency to either greatly aggravate or please those he would report to. His peers, however, would often grow sick of Mikhael and do what they could to avoid his input altogether.
Following the War of the Red Dragon, Mikhael was assigned to the Humanoid Enhancement Research Team. Having learned to be wary of his peers, Mikhael was initially reserved in his opinions, but one of the more tenured researchers, Vanadren Baelhal, took an immediate liking to his new peer and would regularly encourage Mikhael to speak up and share ideas — no matter how preposterous they seemed.
Mikhael and Vanadren grew close during their time in the Apothecary Alliance together. The two would regularly be the last to leave the Tower in the evening, having been caught up either in conversation or attempting an experiment they knew their colleagues would find wasteful. The two of them famously developed a magically infused ink that would allow the writer to copy written content from one piece of parchment to another. Knowing that Mikhael’s reputation within the Alliance was not as positive as his own, Vanadren gave all of the credit to his friend, and the eventual product was known as “Zanzellden Inks.”
As years went by in the Alliance, the pressure on HERT increased. Dusael had willingly transferred their resources, personnel, and finances to helping Phabean researchers understand exactly what transpired with the humanoid experimentation in Dusael leading up to the War of the Red Dragon, yet had seen no results. Mikhael could tell that Vanadren was taking this personally, as the older Elf began to close himself off more and more and devote his time to the research that the organization was looking for.
After a few months of the increased pressure, the Apothecary Alliance was forced to reallocate its resources and keep only key personnel in HERT. Mikhael was taken off of the project and reassigned to clerical duty. His interests in his own experiments and researched quickly waned, and the Elf’s passion seemed to fade.
Ezreal Iantris was looking for personnel for his Agrammon Magic Research Facility at this point in time, and sought out Mikhael to take on the role of Lead Researcher. With his closest friend locked away in research, and his job reduced to clerical duty, Mikhael saw this as an opportunity to make an impact and get back into research. He agreed, and packed his belongings to begin the long journey to Agrammon.
