Hanaan Invasions
The Hanaan Invasions were a series of military campaigns launched by the Hanaan clans against the Namorian Kingdom during the late pre-Republic era. Spanning from 118BRE to 4BRE, these invasions were driven by powerful warlords who sought to take advantage of the perceived corruption and decadence of the Namorian monarchy.
The 1st Hanaan Invasion Hanaan invasion, occurring from 118BRE to 113BRE, was a relatively organized assault on Namoria. Hanaan forces led by Karthak the Unifier ravaged the land, engaging in looting and pillaging. Although they managed to reach Namor city, the invasion eventually dissipated as many of the invaders returned home with their spoils. It revealed critical weaknesses in the Namorian defences to be exploited for decades to come.
The 2nd Hanaan Invasion, taking place from 72BRE to 66BRE, marked a significant turning point. The Hanaan clans led by legendary Warlord Kharan the Unyielding launched a direct assault on Namor city, breaching its ancient walls and sacking the city. The lacklustre response from the detached King Varian III, who sought refuge in the Altair Mountains, prompted the guilds and the people to unite and fortify the city with more substantial defences.
The 3rd Hanaan Invasion occurred from 9BRE to 4BRE. This time, the Hanaan forces clashed with the fortified walls of Namor city, meeting resolute resistance. The Hanaan warlord leading the invasion was killed, and the Hanaan people were decisively defeated and pushed back to their homeland.
