Jaylu'aNar
The Jaylu'aNar are a small Prosk'aNara community that has settled a town on the mouth of the Silverwine River in the Giant Kingdom of Imarus. These Elves have lived there in productive harmony with the Giants of Imarus for more than 100 years.
The Jaylu'aNar live in a walled community built especially for them by the Giants on the shores of the Silver Bay called Frost Town. Here, they have shown the Imarus Giants how to best harvest, process, preserve and store the fruits of their hunts. They have also shown them how to improve the design and function of their ships that are used in hunting and harvesting such dangerous prey as Leviathan, Kraken, and White Dragons as well as whales, sharks and other large marine creatures.
The Giants of Imarus are very grateful to the Jaylu'aNar and they have a very friendly and cooperative relationship with all of them. The Grondi Mondoon is a frequent visitor to Frost Town and regularly invites the most adventurous of its inhabitants to hunt with him, which is a rare thing indeed.
Culture
Major language groups and dialects
The Elves of Frost Town speak Elvish when alone with themselves, but have made every effort to ensure that the tongue of the Frost Giants is spoken whenever the Elves are in mixed company. Most can also speak the native tongue of the Storm Giants, but as they all speak Frost Giant as well, it is used far less often.
Where the tongue of the Jaylu'aNar has shown development from its Vytuian roots are in the abundance of nautical terms that have been either adopted outright or adapted to use within the Imarus culture. Vytuian Elvish has no more than four words for "seawater" in any context that are still in common usage, but because of the Giant's close association with the sea and all its creatures, the Elves have adopted many Giantish words into their lexicon and the number of words related to "seawater" for them is now at 18.
Shared customary codes and values
The members of the community that has settled Frost Town have found a special and lasting association with the Giants of Imarus, and both communities have benefited greatly from the cooperative efforts thus far. The Elves feel they have much still to teach the Giants, and the Giants share the bounty of their harvests with the Elves unreservedly.
Common Dress code
With the climate being the largest and most obvious determining factor in dress for the Jaylu'aNar, they have a tendency to wear waterproof leathers and furs far more than any other settled community of Prosk'aNara.
