Grom
Grom is a large male Stone Giant of unknown age that inhabits and patrols the extensive Drax River valley of the Empire of Sellenia. He is frequently seen but rarely encountered on both the north and south banks of the river, moving between the provinces of Aru-Drax and Baal. Standing fully 24' tall and weighing an estimated 6,000 lbs or more, Grom is a rather shy and seemingly elusive resident of the region.
Grom's known journeys have taken him from the wild hills and mountains west of Uzaka to the shores of the Eastern Sea, and typically north of the Drax Dalash and south of the Akarta Dalash, firmly in the heart of the Drax river valley. If the Giant has a home or lair, its location is not known to anyone but him.
Grom is known to hunt Red Drakes, and while it is not entirely clear why he does this, it is thought to be because he wants to protect the Human population that the Red Drakes routinely target for attack. With each successful hunt he has turned the carcass over to local farms and villages, as he does not seem to want or need the creatures once they are dead.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
24' tall, well muscled for his species, with mottled gray skin that is cracked and seemingly quite dry. He is bald and beardless, which is not a common feature amongst Stone Giants, and has on several occasions been seen to actually run rather than walk (also very rare).
Apparel & Accessories
Grom is one of the only recorded Stone Giants to wear specifically made armor pieces. He has a single paldroon and a pair of vambraces, all made from crudely forged heavy iron and all fastened with heavy bands of thick leather. He wears a skirt or kilt of the same thick leather cut into strips, and very thick banded leather boots that allow his massive toes to be exposed.

Hygiene
Whenever Grom has been encountered, it has been noted that he is typically caked in dirt and mud, especially from the waist down. His few pieces of clothing and his rough armor are all worn, ragged and extremely dirty. It is assumed to be because of his frequent wading of the Drax river and its many tributaries over the course of his travels.
