Benn am Ohnni
Baron Benn am Ohnni
Benn am Ohnni was the ninth Baron of Wessfall, and the father of the current Baron, Brock am Ohnni. Benn was born in 166 AF, which is 224 years after the birth of the first Benn Ohn, who conquered and united what is now Imesse. Some say his difficult life and death were the result of naming him after the founding King of Imesse, and the Father of the Ohnni Family, but Benn himself never seemed concerned about it.
Benn
Benn was called to lead a troop of 500 mounted knights during the Second Northern War with Colo in 213 AF. He survived the defeat and retreat from the Battle of Nyallshold and his regiment weathered the winter of 213-214 AF near the frontier town of Josorick on the Colian border of the Benroty Clan. In the late spring of 214 AF, Benn led his regiment with other units from across northern Imesse into Benroty territory. In the first days of June, 214 AF, the Imessian forces encountered an army of some 2,500 horse and foot from the Benroty Clan and battle ensued.
Benn found himself with a unit of cavalry that had cut off and surrounded a group of some 35 Colian noble knights. During the fighting, he matched off with a tall, older noble whose horse was hacked from under him. The fight was determined and well-fought, and Benn finally managed to defeat and kill his opponent. It wasn't until the enemy was dead on the ground that he heard one of the other Colians call him by name, and he realized he had killed his own father-in-law, the Ryuri Benroty, Rowan. He was so shocked by the realization that he allowed his attention to wane and he was struck down by one of the Ryuri's household guard from behind.
