The God Ferun

Dogma

Ferun's Dogma is based around liberation, freedom of choice, and defending the weak and innocent. His followers are to liberate the enslaved, fight those who oppress others and promote others to make their own choices in life. Ferun teaches that any and all action should be taken to ensure that tyranny and oppression are stripped from the world.
Ferun also believes in the "required shackles". This is the concept that there are those that must be put under oppression in order to protect the liberty of others. These individuals are unable to see the light of Ferun's liberty and as such must be "shackled" to inhibit them from opressing others.
Various sects of Ferun's worshippers hold differing views on the meaning of Shackling. For some it is simply to imprision without intention to release. For others it is the maiming or killing of the individual. However, almost all agree that the Divine Races excluding Humans, who's masters slayed Ferun are deserving of shackling on sight. These views were reinforced after The Collapse and the actions of the other Divine races towars Humans during it.

The Great Barrier

Knowing he was to be slain by the other Divine Creator Gods, Ferun set in motion a way to protect his creation, Humans. In order to do so, he made a deal with the Gods, Tyen "The Pact Keeper" and Dyr "The Great Weaver". The terms of the deal were not known by any outside the three Gods. However, the outcome of the deal is ever-present. The Great Barrier which separates the Divine from the Mundane was formed the moment Ferun took his last breath. Its formation cut the majority of the Gods' ability to interact with the world giving his creation freedom for the rest of time.
Another major effect of the Barrier's Formation is the development of saints: the who hold special connections to the Gods. Due to the Gods not being able to manifest themselves in the mortal realms they instead can pick a single individual who is compatible to become their "saint". This individual has greater access to their God's power and acts as their representive. However, they are not able to communicate with their saints. This has led to many schisms in various churches as new saints preach messages that current worshippers disagree with.
