Valanthir Elves

The Valanthir elves are the elves that are native and most common to Jardersfell. These elves occupy the westernmost island of Jardersfell and have live their for thousands of years. This island was originally a part of the continent of Methas, but the Sundering caused it to become detached from the mainland. The Valanthir elves are descended from the frost elves of the tundra and taiga of northern Methas, but after millennia of being cut off from Methas and several hundred years being close to the humans of Jardersfell, their culture has diverged.
The Valanthir elves primarily live in the large forests on the island of Valanth with some living on the coasts. These elves are a often reclusive and secretive people and tend to live in small communities, but they have developed a relationship with the humans of Jardersfell after some years of conflict. The elves are a semi-autonomous vassal of the High King of Jardersfell and their leader, called the Warden, has a vote on the election of the High King.
