Tholenheim

Tholenheim is an old world that was allegedly created by the dwarven god Tholgrim. Dwarves, elves, dragons, giants, and other races were the first races to be created by the gods. Tholenheim has also seen quite a bit of conflict through the ages. The elves and dwarves have had two incredibly large wars called the First and Second Elder Wars that had massive consequences for Tholenheim.   Tholenheim has at least two major continents, Kadrun and Methas, and 2 minors continents. Kadrun and Methas used to be one single continent, but the Elder Wars brought about two Sunderings which eventually broke the single continent into two separate continents. The wars between the elves and the dwarves and the events of the Sunderings took their toll on both races and they had to spend much time rebuilding and dealing with internal conflicts.   Between and after the two Elder Wars, the gods created more races including the gnomes and halflings and eventually the humans. Humans spread far and wide and over the years developed many different civilizations.   The world of Tholenheim is currently in its Fifth Age. The Fifth Age was begun by the fall of the Magnosi Empire, a human empire that used powerful magics to accomplish great feats such as winning many victories, conquering many lands, and creating new races. The Magnosi Empire arose during a period when the elves and dwarves were rebuilding and looking inward and quickly sought to expand their borders through conquest. Over the course of several years, the empire expanded to incorporate a large section of Kadrun and even reached over to Methas. However, the empire’s success did not last forever. A combination of wars against the elves and dwarves and internal strife and betrayal caused the empire to fall.
