First HF-XC War

War between the HF and XC.
  The XC was a larger faction than the HF, but they believed in destroying all other races so that their own would become very powerful. Therefore, they declared war on the HF to destroy them before the federation had a chance to expand.
  This was initially an undeclared war, but as it eventually became obvious that the XC was launching attacks on the HF, they then declared war.
  The HF made excellent use of their advanced technology in this war, and were able to use deception based technologies such as holograms to make XC ships fire at each other.
  However, their numbers were massive and despite this it was difficult for the HF to fight them off. The HF also infiltrated the XC using phelke spies. One managed to order an XC fleet on a suicide mission, that fleet was promptly annihilated. The spy that caused this survived and was given several medals by the HF starfleet.
  The HF was surprised to discover that the XC was not exterminating all POWs of HF races at sight. They still rescued as many as possible, leading to various jail breaks.
  Despite its seemingly small size, the HF managed to hold off the attack, like so many in the past, using sheer skill, experience and use of technology. They fought incredibly well, but have suffered heavy casualties. Their POWs were executed at the end of the war, leading to several quadrillion casualties.
