Xralax I

Ice giant planet that orbits both stars of the Xralax System, which is owned by the Xalarin Council.   It has an immense orbital radius and is the only planet in the system that does not orbit one or the other star but instead both. Hence its name of Xralax I. It should not be confused for a lava planet. With an orbital period of over 400 years, it slowly makes its way closer towards one system and away from the other. It has a strategic value in its location, able to defend either system or supply its resources to either system depending on which it is closer to at any time. It is abundant with various heavier gases, like most ice giants, which is not as useful as hydrogen which is used in fusion fuel.   This planet is quite unique in Fortrais for its orbit shape. Very few planets occupy such a large orbit around 2 objects while both of those large objects have their own individual moons. As such it is also subject to a lot of scientific speculation, not only at the hands of the XC but even factions like the HF and HM. Some of the leading theories suggset that it was constructed in this orbit, or perhaps moved here from another orbit. It could also have been a rogue planet from another star system before being captured by the Xralax system.   Xralax I is also home to some large XC scientific equipment in order to help advance this study, but the planet is mostly a fortresss world. As it can deploy a massive amount of forces and store a huge amount of resources, any invaders might want to attack this world first as it would likely continue shipping supplies to other XC worlds in the system. They made sure to defend it very well. It almost suffers from Kessler syndrome with the sheer number of defences. The cold also helps them defend by impeding potential offensive attacks...   As Xralax I is very cold, no life could exist on it outside of buildings with life support systems. These structures are very easy to detect due to their massive heat signatures relative to the very cold environment, apart from a number of well placed underground defences whose heat signatures are more hidden.
