Xlalx Rifle

A type of large, powerful rifle used by the Xalarin Council.
The Xlalx rifle was designed primarily to kill any known species of alien from long distance. They thus made it very powerful, and sometimes even effective against non - armoured vehicles such has cars. This has given it a role similar to low power sniper rifles, so therefore the rifle is often equipped with a small scale scope. Users of the weapon will often try to engage enemy forces at about 1 km range.
It was designed this way as some species have been known to survive less powerful munitions. For example, Yunkad shields have been known to sometimes survive large volumes of fire. Altouhgh the Xlalx still does not kill most species of yunkad with a single shot, it is still a significant improvement over previous weapons.
The round is designed to penetrate into the body with immense force and detonate inside the targets body, which often causes it to make large holes in the target's body.The Xlalx is known to be highly demanding of ammo, as each round it carries are often large. This raises problems for logistics. Most magazines built for it have a magazine size of 6.
