Xexrak - Class Destroyer

Small planetary class destroyers commonly deployed by the Xalarin Council military.

The Xexrak - class is a 100m long naval vessel that is capable of hover movement through exploitation of an air pressure gradient above and below the ship. Very high air pressure below the ship imparts a huge force on it keeping it afloat, and a low air pressure above the ship reduces downward pressure, but can be a hazard for crew members with no PPE. The ship's weight is reduced through partial Graviton Wave Refraction.

They are often used by the military to ambush enemies from unsuspecting locations and also as a mobile heavy artillery unit for ground warfare. They have a huge signature however, so they must be escorted to prevent enemy forces from destroying them. The XC copied a similar design of the HF - the Hover Destroyer - and adapted it to suit their technology and doctrines. 

Though quite fast for a warship and with powerful armament, they have little secondary armament beyond a few high velocity CIWS chaingun railguns used to destroy incoming missiles. Against overwhelming numbers of missiles, this can be overwhelmed so they bring support ships or (in ground warfare) support units. These also carry ewar packages and various other support equipment.
