Wormhole-Fused Composite

A very strong but dense armour material used in many applications by the Cypher Dominion, including starships, tanks, warships, bases and so on.

Wormhole-fused composite (WFC) is manufactured through a process where nuclear fusion occurs through wormholes in order to obtain an almost 100% certainty of fusion. This requires a lot of energy to form and a lot of computation power to calculate the exit point of the wormhole to such a precise degree.

Due to its process of manufacture, the material is remniscient of Neutronium Crystal except using a lighter particle rather than neutrons. It is weaker but less energy intensive to make and probably more energy efficient.

Due to this incredible strength, WFC is often used in very intricate parts as a structural support for items such as servers or precision machinery. Also, it is most often used as armour in quite thin plates relative to armour of other factions as its volume to strength ratio is extremely high. To use thick plates of WFC would be to make a vehicle prohibitively expensive and heavy to move around. It can also be reconfigured into a number of different allotropes to perform different roles. For example, there are allotropes that can have a higher tensile strength, heat resistant allotropes, and also forms that can resist, but not entirely defend against, gravity based weapons such as the DGBC.

WFC is quite reflective and as such appears mostly white but in its natural form is also slightly shiny. The CD often treats it to make vehicles slightly more stealthy and eliminate the shiny property.
