Teleport Jammer
Large starships built by many factions to counter Teleporters. Teleporters cannot be used within their large areas that they project, which is cone shaped.
However, these are large and unwieldy. For example, they should be used when a faction establishes orbital supremacy around a planet and with certainty the besieged world cannot destroy the jammer. Teleporter jammers can be constructed by almost evvery faction and are used to capture a population on a planet during war and prevent them from teleporting. This use is quite niche outside of genocidal factions, and as such are not as commonly used as simply invading the world without a jammer.Teleporter jammers must be able to jam several types of teleporters to function properly:
Teleporters such as those used by the Hyperion Federation that function by deconstructing an object into photons that retain all the quantum information of the original object.
Teleporters that function by exploiting the phenomenon of quantum tunelling and causing probability variations to cause teleportation.
Wormhole teleporters such as those most often used by the Cypher Dominion.
In order to perform all these functions, Teleporter Jammers must be very large in order to accomodate all this equipment. They can cancel the effect of quantum probability expansion and counter the quantum tunelling teleporters, cause decoherence in low-entropy photon clusters (the name given to photon clusters used by these teleporters), collapse wormholes and preventing them from forming.
