S'mes'o

A S'mes'o is a type of large, stringed musical instrument. They are most commonly seen on Mauray, but have gained significant popularity by several species such as humans, Ulkon, Ganablin, Scexod and more. Those are the most impacted cultures. The S'mes'o is unpopular in some cultures, however, as it has a loud, guttural sound. Many variants of Maurayan heavy metal make use of it. Additionally, the Hyperion Federation itself has been impacted by them - as artists of the HF become inspired by this form of instrument. It does, however, vary significantly in size depending on the species it was designed to be used by. Eptha ones would be very small but Scexod ones would be large.

History

They have been invented only recently. After the invention of the S'mes'o, several notable bands made use of it in some songs.  This made the instrument more widely known
