Runagat

Homeworld of the Grand Artanat Empire and the Ukztlakat race. Located in the Scronala System.
Runagat is the 4th world from the star. It is quite warm, being covered primarily in dense rainforests with vines. The surface atmosphere under the canopy is quite humid, so it can be highly uncomfortable to most species.Runagat also features a slow orbital period, meaning that seasonal varioation occurs over a much longer time.
Runagat, notably, has several space elevators. Unlike the HF, the GAE does not have Teleporter technology, so they still use their space elevators.
Runagat life in general has evolved to live in the massive tree canopy that connects a large portion of the surface. The trees can grow to massive sizes as the soil contains materials that are extremely strong. The trees use these materials to grow very tall, enabling them to obtain more sunlight due to a taller position. Many trees can easily reach the hundreds of meters. These massive trees allow for a more dense biosphere which led to more food for predators such as the ukztlatat. Smaller creatures often evolved to hide in trees or camouflague, as well as several other key methods. Ukztlakat pre-space civilization was built on a more 'vertical' nature than most others. This allows them to move quickly between floors of a structure and allows them to dedicate much more area for farming space. Ukztlakat tentacles have evolved a massive tensile strength. This allowed them to establish more vertical cities as well, and reduced the cost of real estate. 
Ukztlakat ancient warfare sometimes involved destroying an enemy force by destroying a tree that they control. This requires giving up the height advantage though, so most of the battles happened in the canopy or even at the highest branches. Casualties almost always fell from the branches to the ground, so many combatants might wear clothing to protect them from falls rather than weapons, allowing many injured people to survive rather than falling to death. Due to this being so fatal, some weapons were developed to cut tentacles, leaving a person with no support on the trees.
