Hyperion Sentinel Defence Force HSDF
The HSDF (Hyperion Sentinel Defence Force) is the military of the HF. It is organised into 4 different wings:
The marching force (army) which manages ground forces
The ocean wing (navy) which manages planetary naval forces
The air force which manages military units which can fly in the air
The space command which manages spacecraft.
These wings can be blurred, and units such as ATVs can fit multiple of the above categories. To ease administration, they have a specific symbol and IFF identification which identifies which wing it belongs to. The HSDF also manages the mandatory military training of the entire Hyperion population (not to be confused with military service) which exists to make it much more difficult to perform war crimes against hyperionies. They can quickly become a brutally powerful force in sufficient numbers when the HF de-classifies and legalises weapon techprints, essentially making it very easy for a family to equip itself with powerful HF weapons. The HF will only do this when desperate, but this very often gives them the numbers and firepower advantages which can quickly decimate a would-be invasion force. They can put techprints classifications back to normal and self-destruct any weapons still active after the invasion.
