Collectors

A unique faction that resides purely in the Void.
The Collectors constantly attempt to obtain at least 1000 members of every sentient race within its population. This is a goal that they persue with extreme difficulty, needing to account for the needs of Accuilax, Anagons, Ealax, Progenitors, all subspecies of Ikagohoh, Data Fae and even NEO Prime units which want to exterminate all organics.
Civil wars within the faction have happened, but rarely go anywhere. This is because they have Scattershapes technology, as well as Rikavi Ancients revival technology. Revival technology has since been reduced in capability, so that they cant go back to a mortal timeline. However, it can largely reduce the time taken to resurrect a killed soul within the void.
Due to their use of archaeotech, they are regarded as an incredibly powerful faction along with the other precursor factions. However, they do not often interact with other factions.As all people who are killed in the void eventually revive, and that the void cannot create new souls (so most sentient species cannot produce sapient offspring), progenitors surprisingly dont always attack other races on sight. They still produce non sapient offspring though, so do still kill others mostly for pleasure of reproduction. This makes them a bit easier for the Collectors to pacify.
